Pricing

Priced on accountability, not on how hard your agents work.

KeelAI is open core. The engine your agents run on is free. You pay for the people whose sign-off you need on the record, never for runs, checks, or model calls.

How we price

Three commitments.

01

We never meter runs

Runs, Guardian evaluations, Gate decisions, drift events, and model calls are your factory's working rhythm. Fifteen parallel agents should cost the same as one.

02

You pay for accountability

A seat is a named Anchor owner or Authority, a person already recorded in your routing rules. Adding one is a governance decision, not a usage spike.

03

Verification never depends on us

verify stays in the open CLI and chain heads live in your storage. You pay KeelAI to keep the packets, not to keep the proof.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What counts as an accountability seat?

A person named as an Anchor owner or as an Authority in a Gate routing rule. Builders, agents, and runs are not seats. A team with one owner and one Authority fits in Free; a team with several owners and approvers across a few Projects is paying for exactly the accountability it needs.

What is open source?

The execution plane: the engine, CLI, MCP server, extension adapters, Manifest schema, schema-tier Guardians, and the solo Anchor store. The authority plane (multi-owner Anchors, advanced Guardians, Gates, evidence export, and the dashboard) is the commercial product.

Do I have to change my agent tools?

No. KeelAI has no editor of its own. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and any MCP-capable agent work through the KeelAI MCP server and CLI.

Will upgrading from Free mean re-installing?

No. Upgrading to Team adds seats and capabilities to your existing deployment. It never re-installs or migrates.

Is there a hosted version?

Not yet. KeelAI is self-hosted today: one binary for solo use, PostgreSQL for teams. Managed hosting will follow once multi-tenancy is designed properly. If hosting matters to you, tell us; it shapes the roadmap.

What happens to evidence beyond the retention window?

Team includes 12 months of packets. Longer retention and export volume to SIEM and GRC destinations are the only metered charges. Chain heads are always free to publish outside KeelAI.
